I have no boat. I have friends who have made the mistake of buying a boat. I have chosen to learn from their errors. If i lived where it might be useful, I could be convinced to acquire a canoe.
@werehatrack I have an inflatable stand up paddle board. It’s surprisingly rigid and stable. My wife loves it. It’s not light weight, but it is transportable inside a vehicle. Full transparency, I did buy an electric pump instead of using the bike pump it came with 30,000 times to fill it up. No sense on being completely exhausted before you even hit the water.
We take it to the shore and it’s quite relaxing (once you find your balance) and we have a few small lakes nearby that are fun to paddle around on a calm day
@narfcake wow I Have several Boats, if Benchy counts, in a couple different sizes & colors! But the Cali Cat, well you might be Catting around way too much!
A boat is a hole in the water that you shovel money into.
I speak from experience. Living in Florida with a second home in the keys, it seemed like a great idea. (They were all cheap 50 years ago.) It wasn’t. Sold the boat, and both homes and moved out of that hurricane infested state.

I used to have a 16 ft. runabout, but that was a long time ago.
It was fun, but expensive and a lot of upkeep.
I have a good china gravy boat (that I haven’t used in forever), but don’t think that’s what you meant.
Come to think of it, I have a boater hat somewhere.

Does Benchy from a 3D printer count?

And if put Cali Cat on it, does that make it a meme?

This is the only boat I could afford
I’ve always found it’s best to have a buddy with a boat.
